==== Alerts (Unread Messages to You) ====

**Alerts** let you know when there is a new message posted to you as either a reply in a messaged thread or as a private message.  You can access the alerts in one of two ways.  
    - The Alerts Menu
    - The User Control Panel  

**__The Alerts Menu__** \\
The Alerts menu is found in the top left-hand corner of the home page.

When you click on the Alerts (#) link, a pop up window will open detailing the messages you have received.

  -__Thread Replies__  Clicking on the link for a thread reply will take you directly to that message.
  -__Private Messages__  Clicking on the link for a private message will take you directly to the new Private Message into your User Control Panel.  Note that you can also access your private messages from the link to the right of the page, or from the user control panel.
